The Notifications feature lets you create alerts that are triggered by the conditions you set. You can have these alerts sent to specific people via email, within the Zendesk App, within the tymeshift WebApp, or to a specific Slack channel.
Notifications are set up in Rules. To create them, follow these steps:
- Go to Admin
.
- Click on Rules.
- Click on the
button.
- Fill in the criteria.
- Select
under Then criteria.
- Choose who should get the Notification.
- Check the option
if you want to receive the notification via email or the option
if you want to receive the notification via Slack.
- Click on the
button.
Note: if you want an agent also to receive a Notification when they match or violate the Rule, select Agent Matching Rule. You can also send the Notification to the agent's manager by selecting the Specific Agent(s) option, which will let the manager know there might be an issue.
To enable browser Notifications, follow these steps:
- Click on the tymeshift App inside Zendesk.
- Click on the Notification
icon.
- Select Enable Notifications at the bottom.
To get Notifications from tymeshift, you must enable them within Chrome. If you've previously blocked Chrome Notifications, follow these steps to allow tymeshift Notifications via Chrome:
- Access your Chrome settings by clicking the three dots
.
- Go to Show advanced settings.
- Under Privacy, choose Content settings.
- Scroll down and under Notifications, choose Manage exceptions.
- Find your tymeshift App, which will be in the following format yourzendeskURL.tymeapp.com.
- Identify if tymeshift Notifications are allowed or blocked:
- If the Behavior is listed as Allow, then everything is fine.
- If the Behavior is listed as Block, you should click on the word Block and select Allow from the drop-down menu.
You can access Notifications in the tymeshift App inside of Zendesk and in the tymeshift WebApp. To access them inside of Zendesk, follow these steps:
- Click on the tymeshift Icon inside of Zendesk.
- Click on the Notification
icon.
To access Notifications inside of the tymeshift WebApp, follow these steps:
- Log into your tymeshift Account.
- Click on the Notification icon
in the upper right corner next to your Name or Avatar.
