This is a legacy feature that is no longer available for customers who signed up for Tymeshift after July 27th, 2022.
Monitoring and Scheduling Time Off for your team in tymeshift is simple! With the Time Off feature, you can do the following:
- Schedule Time Off for agents
- Allow agents to request Time Off
- Approve or Deny Time Off Requests
- Filter Schedule by Time Off Reasons
If you are a manager and you would like to schedule Time Off for your team for the days that do not yet have any shift assigned, simply follow the steps below:
- Log into the tymeshift WebApp.
- Click on Schedule .
- Click on the button.
- Select a day or period.
- Select the Time Off Reason that you have set up in the Schedule Settings.
- Insert a note by filling out the Additional Details section (optional).
- Insert the agents you wish to schedule the Time Off for.
- Click the Submit button.
Allow agents to request Time Off
To allow your agents to request Time Off, first, you will need to enable it for them in the Schedule Settings. After that is enabled, they will be able to request Time Off by following these steps:
- Log into the tymeshift WebApp.
- Click on Schedule .
- Click on the button.
- Select the day or period they want to take off.
- Select the Time Off reason.
- Insert a note in Request Details (optional).
- Click the Submit button.
- Wait for the manager to Approve or Decline the request.
Note: Time offs will be visible to agents only once they have been approved. During the pending status phase of a time off the requests will not be visible.
Approve or Deny Time Off Requests
Your team requests go to the approvals queue where a manager can either Approve or Decline the request. Check out more information on Manager Approvals here. However, if a manager or a team leader requests Time Off on behalf of an agent, the request is automatically approved.
Important: when adding Time Off as a manager, you will be overriding the Approval selection of the request. As there's no input on what to do with the shift you've updated, you will need to manually update the shift so it reflects the changes you've made.
Note: your agents can receive a notification and/or an email when you Approve or Decline their request if you enable notifications under your Schedule Settings.
Filter Schedule by Time Off Reasons
In the Schedule, you can filter your view by Time Off Reason and easily see who’s out of the office. To do so just follow these steps:
- Log into the tymeshift WebApp.
- Click on Schedule .
- Select Time off Reason on the left side filtering options.
If you would like to get even more insight into your team's attendance, we recommend using our Attendance Monitor.
