We're focusing on new things
No need to worry; you'll still have access to this feature, but unfortunately, we can no longer support the Schedules after 1st of December 2023. The good news, though, we're replacing it with new and improved features that will be even better. This feature is being replaced with Schedules. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at support@tymeshift.com.
This is a legacy feature that is no longer available for customers who signed up for Tymeshift after July 27th, 2022. The functionality in this feature is now available in Schedules.
Once you set up your Schedule , you can retroactively edit or revise it even when it's published. Just don't forget to publish it again once your changes are made!
Important: until you hit the publish button (on the top right corner of your screen), the new Schedule won’t be visible to your agents. Once you publish the Schedule, the shift will change colors from red to green. This feature allows you to double-check that your schedule is fully optimized before you share it with your team.
- Access Schedule edit menu
- Add Shift
- Edit Shift
- Edit Repeat
- Add Time Off
- Delete Shift
- Request Time Off

Note: in order to edit the Schedule, you need to have Manager (Full Access) permissions under the Features (Web App) in your Agent Permissions .
To access this feature, simply follow the steps below:
- Log into your tymeshift WebApp.
- Click on Schedule .
- Right-click on the shift you want to edit.
- Select the appropriate action from the drop-down list.
This is where you will be able to edit a shift, edit a Repeating Shift, Add Time Off, Publish, or Delete a shift.
Note: agents can access the shift editing menu the same way, however, their actions are limited to requesting a shift trade and Time Off.
When you right-click on an empty space in your schedule, you will see the Add Shift button. If you click on it, you can add a shift for that agent. In addition, you can go to Add Shift just by clicking on the button in the upper right corner of your Schedule Screen.
After you click on the Edit button, you will be taken into the Shift Template where you can tweak the start/end time of your shift, edit the Intraday Schedule, or delete that particular shift.
You can also edit the team Schedule by simply dragging and dropping Unassigned Shifts or already assigned shifts to any other agent. Or you can duplicate the selected shift by clicking on it, holding Control key (CTRL on Windows OS) and dragging it to another agent or day.
After you click on the Edit Repeat button, you will be taken into the Shift Template where you can edit or delete that particular Repeating Shift.
Note: if you edit a Repeating Shift, once you save the changes it will apply them to all relevant days you've set in the Repeating Shift settings including the ones you previously modified.
After you click on the Add Time Off button, you will be able to add Time Off for your agents for the scheduled shift. You can add Time Off for that entire shift or for a partial shift on that day.
After you click on the Delete button, you will be able to delete a scheduled shift (all future Repeating Shifts & all Repeating Shifts including past shifts). In order to do so, please follow these steps:
- Log into your tymeshift WebApp.
- Go to Schedule .
- Go to Monthly View.
- Right-click on the shift you want to delete.
- Select Edit Repeat.
- Click on Delete Shift.
- Select All Repeats or All Future Repeats, depending on your preference.
You can quickly delete shifts in your schedule's Monthly View, by selecting the agent's name or a specific date. This will automatically select either the agent's available shifts or all the shifts for the chosen day.
Note: be careful when editing/deleting bulk scheduled Repeating Shifts. You can find more information about this in our article on Bulk Scheduling.
After you click on Request Trade you and your agents will have the ability to Trade Shifts with other agents. They will have a chance to trade all future shifts or just a partial shift.
Note: you need to enable Shift Trade Permissions under your Schedule Settings.
After you click on the Request Time Off button, your agents will be able to ask for Time Off for that entire shift or for a partial shift on that day. Also, it will be required to specify the Time Off Reason.
Note: you need to enable Time Off Requests under your Schedule Settings.
